I was happy to be contacted recently to (have Buck and Sioux) test and review a new raw-hide free dog chew treat line by PetMatrix.
Like many pet owners, I don't like feeding the kids rawhide chews due to the possibility of intestinal blockages. SmartSticks and SmartChips are 100% rawhide-free, 99% digestible and enriched with vitamins and minerals.
Both products are available in Chicken and Peanut Butter flavors at fine pet stores around the country and at www.SmartBones.com.
According to my taste-testers above, the chicken and peanut butter flavors are delicious.
I know your pups will like them too!
I have one bag each of the SmartSticks and SmartChips to offer one of my readers as a giveaway. Just follow the Rafflecopter prompts below to enter.

ReplyDeletethose look like a great dog treat! I too stopped giving rawhide.
ReplyDeleteMax and Belle would love these! To the best of our knowledge and our vet's guess, Max is German Shepherd/Great Dane and Belle is Rottweiler/Hound Dog (beagle?) with a splash of Jack Russell and pure joy.
ReplyDeleteI think Duchess would love these! She goes crazy over peanut butter. I don't like to give her rawhide treats because I saw my friend's dog nearly choke to death on one before and it scared the heck out of me.
ReplyDeletePS - Duchess is a very wooly great pyr/sheepdog mix :)

Rescue one is MelloYello who ia a sheltie, rescue two is Blue who is a pit bull and rescue three is Shorty who is a long hair chihuahua. The other five are all shelties and they are Annabelle, Gabby, BamBam, Breezy and Missy. My doggies would absolutely love to try these treats. They love trying new things And chicken and peanut butter are their absolute two favorite flavors for snacks so these are perfect. Thank you dh_jax@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteOur two dogs are salivating, just thinking about these treats! :)
ReplyDeleteBuddy our cairn terrier would do his tricks for these I am sure! He only knows 3 - shake, roll over and "leave it ".

ReplyDeleteWe have a spunky, mostly deaf, mostly blind 15-year old Westie (Maggie) who loves treats! She'd be commenting herself if she could see what she was typing....
ReplyDelete'Lucy'
My pups saw this and are barking and barking at me! lol How did I miss this post!?? If it isn't too late my pups would love for us to be entered in the drawing. :)
ReplyDeleteMost excellent, steering clear of the rawhide! Nasty stuff, that.
ReplyDeletewww.dogtreatweb.com
I foster dogs and am always giving them things to keep occupied such as the puzzle toys with treats. Rawhide lasts
ReplyDeleteA long time but is so bad for them. I am so glad the pet industry has given us an alternate choice that the
Dogs enjoy! Other than these chews, I make every other treat they get.
I have three babies other than the 3 current fosters. 2 Golden Retreivers :Huckleberry who is 9 and Lilly who is 4.5. I also have a chocolate lab named Darcy whom I rescued 3 months ago and she will be 1 in another month. I love all of the dogs I have and work with!
ReplyDeleteI just had to come back to let you know that Duchess absolutely loves these treats! When I give one to her she gets so excited and carries it off to enjoy it in private haha. Thanks so much for the giveaway!
