Sunny. Calm. 50 F Temps.
I had run out of excuses not to step outside and enjoy the late winter scenery.
The kids were happy to run off some of their restless energy.
Can Spring be too far away?
Sharing with Camera Critters, Weekly Top Shot.

Although it's a bit cold still there, I am also awaiting spring and looking for every sign of it!

I hope spring will come soon.....!!..enjoy the day darling....love Ria...xxx...
ReplyDeleteNice serie of photos.
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Nancy, gorgeous rural scenes. Looks like a beautiful winter day for a walk with your dog. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteMorning Nancy LOVE the photos. Was that a coyote? I showed one photo to My Hero he got all excited about the buzz saw blade as it has a lot of tooth ("meat") left too it. He said wish we had that one. We have a buzz saw we use for wood and at the auctions they are bought for art. Hilarious I told him I would go down and get it. Can you see the border guards face:)
ReplyDeleteJust sayin may come visit:) Have a nice weekend. B
I was wondering if it was a deer carcass...it doesn't look like meat eating teeth.
DeleteFunny what guys get excited about :) My Dad would have taken a good long look at that saw blade too!
Deer carcass.
DeleteGoing on walks with bloggers is one of my favorite pastimes. Thanks for taking us along.
ReplyDeleteMorning Nancy, beautiful pictures you captured.......So much snow here, you are lucky to not have any, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! Beautiful, Golden Thanks for sharing. Yes, it looks like Spring will be coming soon. Happy Saturday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are amazing! There is beauty in this time of year too! It also holds the promise of spring!! Enjoyed my visit this morning!!!
ReplyDeleteMy kids would LOVE being out there, too! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to talk a walk with someone else in their place, there are differences and similarities to be found everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI hope that it's not too far away. I'm tired of the flipping and flopping of the weather. Rain. Snow. Rain. Snow. Grey. Grey Grey.
ReplyDeleteWe're heading towards March, so spring might not be so far away. It's a bit warmer here in Dublin, but only slightly enough to skip the gloves. Love your pictures, and the one with the rusty details is so cool. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos and beautiful dogs! I love German Shepherds.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I wonder what the dead thing was?
ReplyDeletei think not. ( :
ReplyDeleteI love your dogs!!
ReplyDeleteWas that a dead coyote or a deer out there?
As for spring, I still have two feet of snow on the ground here, (a foot has melted with some 40 degree temperatures this week) and another five inches of snow predicted for tonight. I am happy for your spring - you have no snow and I can see your ground! My spring isn't coming until April this year!! LOL
Those bones look too large for a deer (thick & heavy). I am guessing a young steer.
ReplyDeleteVic303
Deer.
DeleteSpring... if it comes soon, can summer heat be that far behind?
ReplyDeleteIt's the only bad thing about spring...
Lovely, restful pictures. Terracing there or optical illusion?
Your photos give me hope that Spring is around the corner. This morning we've got a rain/snow mix coming down BUT I did hear the mourning doves somewhere along the driveway. To me, that's always a good sign that IT'S almost here. Really enjoy your excursion!
ReplyDeleteIt's so important to get outside. I just love seeing photos of your "kids" out enjoying their property.
ReplyDeleteLovely series.
ReplyDelete50 degrees! I hope that is headed our way to melt some of our snow. Love your photos, especially of the kids. I hope you wore off some restless energy too!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Looks like it was a great idea to get outside. I actually went out to try some frost macro photos this morning. I'm sick with the flu so I didn't last very long, but it was nice to hold the camera again.
ReplyDeletethe steps in the land are neat. always love those grasses...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely, (virtual) morning walk!
ReplyDeleteI love the little bench overlooking the pond! I miss the browns of the prairie. It is white snow and white aspens here.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly had a beautiful day to get out with the kids and enjoy the sunshine and take some wonderful pictures....
ReplyDeleteGorgeous muted color and terrain . . . picturing the look perfectly before the green and color of springtime.
ReplyDeleteReally great post Nancy!
Wonderful series of shots and I love your dogs. We are going Sunday afternoon to pick up our new German Shepherd puppy. It's been years since we had our last one. I love them! They're my very favorite dogs!

Absolutely lovely scenery and so glad you shared your "getting out" with us.
ReplyDeletegorgeous photos as always Nancy! I wish we had that weather here. Right now it is in the teens and the sun is not doing much. Loved this post :)

These are beautiful shots! We're still getting the tease of spring and then cold again.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are breathtaking. What a beautiful place you live in! I especially love the one of your dog running free, and the hills in the distance.
ReplyDeleteHello Nancy, how you are lucky to have such a large and beautiful landscape for your daily walks! I live in a crowded city (Istanbul - 15 million people) and have two dogs like you. My little ones would adore to walk and run freely in such an open area. Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos and have a delightful Sunday, ciao! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope spring is on it's way, although we probably need more snow first.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Nancy .... glad you were able to get out and "run with the kids" :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks VERY close by! Much springier than here, where we are still covered in snow. Love these pictures - they are full of promise.
ReplyDeletehard for me to say with two inches of snow on the ground and more pouring from the sky. love the photo of the terraced land.
ReplyDeleteGreat German Shepard. We also had one, smart and intelligent.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Compared to here, you have arrived! Beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteI think your spring is closer than ours too, Nancy. And you are correct...no excuses again young lady!! lol Look at that beautiful landscape! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWOW, beautiful shots and taken with such feeling.
ReplyDeleteNice shots- I always feel better after a good walk outdoors- fresh air, love it!
ReplyDeleteWell, now i know for sure that i want to visit Nebraska sometime! These photos are so beautiful. And your Buck is magnificent! :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful images Nancy... I was able to get out today as well. NOT so warm here, it snowed last night, but in the mid 30's so perfectly comfortable with the right clothes on. It is such a joy just to breathe the air after so many weeks mostly indoors.
ReplyDeleteYou captured the spirit of your dogs and your land.
ReplyDeleteLove your pups running off some steam... I especially like the view from a hillside of a rural dirt road... I've set that as my desktop wallpaper... I'm so glad you came by to share on Weekly Top Shot #70!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet the dogs were lovin' their walk!! I'm with TWG, love the "terraced" look of the field. :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Where's your snow? You are alot closer to spring than we are!! Oh boy do we need a long walk!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! :o)
ReplyDeletealways choose outdoors when you can!! 30 days, 23 hours till spring, that's pretty soon!!
ReplyDeletethe pups look happy and your images are beautiful!!
It looks like a lovely day--and yes, spring is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteYour dogs are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour! It won't be long until it all springs to life again. Well, maybe not the skeleton...
ReplyDeleteYour shepherd looks like my Max from the back!! Beautiful walk!
ReplyDeleteI find no excuses from the series of pictures.
ReplyDeletei recognized that pooch in the thumbnail before i even knew it was you! beautiful photos...spring isn't too far off, even though we are having a bit of a cold weekend, blah! it's ok though, i noticed it was still light out at 6:30 tonight which made me happy!
ReplyDeleteThese are great. I really love that first shot and your new banner.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Nancy. I love German Shepherds...my favorite dog!
ReplyDeleteOh, how lovely to see the muted tones of late winter/early spring!
ReplyDeletetried to comment yesterday but think it got eaten.... Love seeing your land, and the closeups are awesome. I especially love old machinery.
ReplyDeleteI love your wide open spaces.
ReplyDeleteSad to see remains, but such is the way of nature.
Your kids are beautiful!
I'd be out in my shorts if 50 degree graced our location.
Gorgeous images and I always love seeing images of your furry friends. Hoping Spring isn't too far away. Looking forward to the new life it brings.
ReplyDeleteHey Nancy! You revamped your blog and header! Looks great! Is that you in the picture? How cute those braids are... makes me almost miss my long hair... just not the effort to keep up with long hair! :D
