A Rural Journal: {Gravity Defied.}

Sunday mid-morning, Shane opened the back door and sez

Grab your camera...  and put on a short lens.

He's much smarter than he looks. So am I. Not really.

Anyhoodles.

Seems the universe had aligned to create some interesting kick-ass icicles on our carport barn.

He kept mentioning the first icicle above looked like Batman.

    PS - I don't have any farmer friends who grow corn. I'll ask David since he teaches at a rural school and has a lot of students who come from farm families. Thanks for the tip!

  25. Those ARE gravity-defying ice sculptures! I'm assuming the wind shaped them, but it's so interesting that some are clear ice, which would seem to indicate a melting temperature, too. Truly defying gravity.

  26. Fascinating! I think the first one kind of reminded me of a butterfly.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Neat! And its moisture, YAYAYAy!!! We have gotten a lot of snow and still have snow on the ground here. which is great; slow melts mean good crops!
