A Rural Journal: {Baby Buck}

I have no particular reason to post this photo of my Buck at 6 weeks.

I have no particular reason why I searched my Flickr photos this morning

for this photo of my Buck.

I only know that it epitomizes who he is -- now -- my Buck at 5 years.

He is still that sweet puppy on the deck -- wondering what the world is all about.

He is my love. My friend. My shadow.

We picked him. He picked us.

Check that -- he picked me.

I can't imagine my life right now without him.

  17. Buck is a gorgeous dog. Fun to go back and look at the puppy. All puppies are cute. My brother says they're made that way intentionally. Otherwise you'd never put yourself through all the work. But it's worth it on the other side.

  28. There is nothing cuter or sweeter than a German Shepherd puppy! We've had GS's in our family from the time I was a youngster until just a few years ago. I miss them. Buck has grown into a real handsome fella! Neat story!

  32. Puppy cuteness has been our Molliedog's saving grace for the last 13 years!! She is a Queensland Heeler and she has been a handful from day one but so worth it. I want a German Shepherd for my next dog so bad!! My husband says they are too big and it might be him or a GS ...I asked him if I could get back to him on that in a couple of days...ha!
