  9. What a sight! We have them along the Connecticut River occasionally, I have only had one sighting while out in a kayak... just magnificent.

    here in Massachusetts, it was announced yesterday that they will temporarily stop counting the bald eagles as their numbers are significantly UP over the last 20 years!

  32. Aren't they something, though? The white is so white! (Must tell you about my BIl's experience in Ketchikan with a visitor who wanted to see the eagles. Essentially, the regal bird was feeding at the open dump, and the visitor was horrified to discover that our national symbol is really a scavenger. It ruined the guy's whole trip!)
