I love the photo of the horses - green pasture, or in B&W...just partial to horses, I guess! I, too, am trying not to wish the winter away, because at my age, I don't need to wish ANY time away...but...I am tired of the cold. This morning 23, which for us is pretty cold. We always get the benefit of the warmer ocean water keeping our temps a little higher, but that seems to be of no use today! Trying to stay warm...
I'm not really trying to wish winter away, either - (I have nothing to complain about, winter has been kind to me.) BUT, in a few hours it is scheduled to rise above freezing . . which means my walk from the library to the metrolink station will be safer . . (falling on the ice . . or just falling . . not the picture of my day.0
I can't even call this winter- we go from the 70's to the teens.. from rain to snow to sleet. It's like Mother Nature cannot make up her mind what season it is.
I am SO wishing for spring...the illness and the indoors have not been nice to my family this season. I'm counting down the days...though I am not counting down the days as my little ones get older.
Lovely creative photography ~ January and Feb ~ can be hard months ~ enjoy each day ~ time flies by ~ looking forward to your journal creations ~ Carol
Hi Sistah, What a lovely view . . . is that what you see out your window? I am tired of winter, too. Come on Spring, we miss you!!! P.S. great photo! In regard to the comment you left: I want to encourage you to start an art journal. Just keep it stored by your favorite chair in your family-room, add a box of colored pencils or markers near by, and see what happens. It doesn't matter, a journal can take a couple months to fill or a few years . . .I think you will find that it is a very relaxing venture. Have fun. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
I can't say I understand how you feel now, because I live in Florida, but I still remember that feeling when I grew up in NY. So I do know and I understand this is the worst winter every. The sun is coming hold on.
I'm with you! It's freezing cold here, I'm trying to save some money by keeping the thermostat down, and I'm going to and coming from work in the dark. Bring on the SPRING!
I hear you loud and clear. I'm also looking forward to the arrival of spring and flowers, sunshine, birds happily chirping away (although they do that in the winter), being able to go outside without a coat, etc...The horses looked happy in that lovely green field.
Hi Nancy,
