This last one is not really a feeder bird, but our old tom turkey looking through the picture window. He kept pecking at the glass as if to say, "Let me in, dammit. It's cold out here."
I tried to convince Shane that we needed an indoor turkey, and of course I would have to order an ortho turkey bed and turkey litter pan for him...", but he said no.
How rude. It's Christmas, for chrissake.

Poor Tom Turkey! Thanks for making me smile. :))
ReplyDeleteOh Tom ..... if you peck on the wrong window you might become Christmas dinner! So glad you weren't thinking that way ;)
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see the little birdies in the snow I often wonder if their feet get cold. Mine sure would!
Super shots!
Love the birdie post, that Turkey is so beautiful.....Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird pics!! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day Nancy :)
ReplyDeletehehee! My husband cringes when ever there is another 'outdoor' kitty that shows up outside our backdoor. Before I can say or do anything he heads me off at the pass with "3 is enough!" Not so sure I'd take on a Turkey - by the time it caught on with the litter pan, we would have already sized it up for a larger basting pan. Conflicting interest and all, ya know!
ReplyDeleteI want to know if you got that new kitty?
ReplyDeleteThe birds are all puffed up - it must be cold!
Beautiful birds and I love your Peeping Tom Turkey! Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI had a face to face turkey encounter along a walkway on my way to the bus. I tried to be quiet and calm so it wouldn't be concerned . . BUT, it panicked, it ran in every direction - almost like a silent film comedy routine . . . I needed to catch a bus, My new acquaintance needed to feel safe . . . finally, it flew to the top of a building and upset the business owners . . . in my world, turkey encounters of a close kind are Very Uncommon . . giggle . . . your photos are magic . . thank you! Best Weekend to YOU!!! -g-
ReplyDeleteI'm with Shane- no no no on the indoor turkey! HA HA!
