Pretty shots. I wonder what the birds thing of the weather.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Nancy. Happy holidays!!
ReplyDeleteMuch better than all the grackles around here!
ReplyDeleteneat ones. i see all sorts of woodpeckers, chickadees, nuthatch, cardinals, i wonder where the finches are though?! ( :
ReplyDeleteOh Nancy these are incredible. I do not have any feeders out but I do see a lot of Flickers in the bush and my neighbour seen a Snowy Owl who I am still watching for:)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Nancy and I hope you have lots of snow, we now have a white ground Yeah. Hug B
Loving the bird pics!! I always watch for the cardinals, they will be here next month! One year I did not get the feeders out quick enough and I was scolded severely by one of the cardinals. He was not happy until I got that feeder out!!!
ReplyDeleteI woke up early and am doing a nebulizer treatment before I head back to bed... but I just heard on the early news that your region is getting pummeled with a blizzard. I know you've put by so I'll say, stay snug!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet bird images. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty!!! Love them against the gray winter sky.
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I could have feeders up but the squirrels destroy them!! This spring I am going to plant some 'natural' food sources...berry bushes...because I so miss the birds....but I have enjoyed viewing yours ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been lax with the bird pics too. Dirty windows and annoying reflections haven't helped. You've just reminded me that I need to refill my feeders . . . off I go.
ReplyDeleteLovely little birds and such great photos of them. Hope you got your big Christmas snow!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pictures! I like the first one the best. Thanks for linking up at One Creative Weekend on OneCreativeMommy.com!
ReplyDeleteIncredible photos! I have some sparrows and chickidees, an occasional downy and the resident magpies. The 'pies are my very favorite. Crows and ravens pass by.
ReplyDeleteStay warm!
activity at the feeders triples, when snow is falling!!
ReplyDeletethese are great nancy, i see all of these birds at my feeders...
i need to photograph my birds, it's been a while, although i have thousands in the archives!!
Excellent! I love the 3rd pic down!
ReplyDeleteThey all look plump and healthy and ready for whatever winter throws at them this year. Me too!
ReplyDeletebeautiful shots of birds!
ReplyDeletewishing you and your loved ones the best this holiday season, dear nancy.
big hugs!
the blackbirds are beginning to descend on texas. *sigh* we still have goldfinches here for now.
ReplyDeleteyour bird shots have inspired me to get out a bird feeder this winter. Great set of shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the beautiful sight - Now, i gotta check my feeders - we had such strong winds and huge drop in temperature - gotta make sure all my visitors can get a nibble . . see what good you do?
ReplyDelete-g-
The goldfinches and house finches that throng at my three feeders have been hanging on for dear life in the awful wind we've had--and are still having. The juncoes are smart to stay on the ground and work on sunflower seeds that blow from above. (Wish I could capture some great images such as yours!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as usual! I don't have a good spot for feeders but I have a friend who has many. After looking at your shots, I believe I have to stake out a spot in her yard.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots and like how you edited them. Although I'm not in my Philly home, we were seeing a lot of
ReplyDeletecardinals, blue jays, woodpeckers (hairy and red-bellied) finches and sparrows and of course the doves. Occasionally the hawk would stop by looking for a meal! Have a great weekend Nancy!
What sweet little birds! I keep thinking I should get a feeder or two just for the photo ops! ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope you guys are staying warm up there!
So beautiful! I love those cute little birds. I've been seeing so many birds lately. Lots of woodpeckers and saw a blue jay this morning.
ReplyDeletei went to a bird feeder breakfast last weekend and enjoyed sharing my expertise with some lovely children
ReplyDeleteRavens, California Quail, Dark-eyed Juncos, Scrub Jays, Sparrows and more. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Inger & Samson
ReplyDeleteGreat shots all, Nancy, but my favorite is #1. Just love the pop of the orange. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteWe have been seeing tons of house finches, woodpeckers, titmice, cardinals, nuthatches and a few falcons perching nearby!!! Merry Christmas Nancy to you and yours (that included the dogs too!!!)...:)JP
ReplyDeleteI have no bird feeders yet.
ReplyDeleteI am afraid of what my cat is thinking about it..
Great shots, dear!!!
Great shots! Unfortunately, I don't have any bird feeders in my yard, but on my daily walks in the morning I see lots of Grackles. I love those birds. We also get a lot of them in our yard, they like to splash around in our Jacuzzi.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Capture life,
Kathy
Such beautiful, lovely little gems these (and all birds) are. What would our world be like without them? I can't imagine...
ReplyDeleteNice feeder shots. All I am seeing is a bunch of crows!
ReplyDeleteLooks about like what I've been seeing here. :-)
ReplyDeleteDove and sparrows here ... Nice photos
ReplyDeleteThese are great but that first shot beats them all.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the different birds at your feeder. All I see are sparrows and some blue jays on the ground.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas, my friend.
House finches, an assortment of sparrows: song, white-throated and house, cardinals (4 males showed up at once, recently!), a red-breasted nuthatch is a new visitor this year, Carolina wrens and chickadees, downy woodpeckers, warblers, mourning doves--it's been quite busy here. We used to have a pair of red-bellied woodpeckers, but I've not seen them yet this year.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! We're not seeing any birds around here! Well, a few doves and Mexican Jays hiding in the woods, but they won't come to the feeder. Makes me sad!
ReplyDeleteThese are SUPER - but i LOVE LOVE LOVE the Red-bellied woodpecker with the pine cone in front of! Just love that shot!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots love them all, here we have Blue Tits Sparrow's and the occasional Woodpecker and Ring Necked Dove , Chaffinch, and Blackbirds.
ReplyDeleteI see the Wood Pecker is also a visitor here across the Pond also.
Best Wishes
Sheila
Beautiful shots Nancy!
