  6. Loving the bird pics!! I always watch for the cardinals, they will be here next month! One year I did not get the feeders out quick enough and I was scolded severely by one of the cardinals. He was not happy until I got that feeder out!!!

  7. I woke up early and am doing a nebulizer treatment before I head back to bed... but I just heard on the early news that your region is getting pummeled with a blizzard. I know you've put by so I'll say, stay snug!

  10. Oh I wish I could have feeders up but the squirrels destroy them!! This spring I am going to plant some 'natural' food sources...berry bushes...because I so miss the birds....but I have enjoyed viewing yours ;)

  11. I've been lax with the bird pics too. Dirty windows and annoying reflections haven't helped. You've just reminded me that I need to refill my feeders . . . off I go.

  21. The goldfinches and house finches that throng at my three feeders have been hanging on for dear life in the awful wind we've had--and are still having. The juncoes are smart to stay on the ground and work on sunflower seeds that blow from above. (Wish I could capture some great images such as yours!)

  22. Beautiful as usual! I don't have a good spot for feeders but I have a friend who has many. After looking at your shots, I believe I have to stake out a spot in her yard.

  23. Great shots and like how you edited them. Although I'm not in my Philly home, we were seeing a lot of
cardinals, blue jays, woodpeckers (hairy and red-bellied) finches and sparrows and of course the doves. Occasionally the hawk would stop by looking for a meal! Have a great weekend Nancy!

  31. Great shots! Unfortunately, I don't have any bird feeders in my yard, but on my daily walks in the morning I see lots of Grackles. I love those birds. We also get a lot of them in our yard, they like to splash around in our Jacuzzi.

    Merry Christmas!
    Capture life,

  37. Love seeing the different birds at your feeder. All I see are sparrows and some blue jays on the ground.
Have a wonderful Christmas, my friend.

  38. House finches, an assortment of sparrows: song, white-throated and house, cardinals (4 males showed up at once, recently!), a red-breasted nuthatch is a new visitor this year, Carolina wrens and chickadees, downy woodpeckers, warblers, mourning doves--it's been quite busy here. We used to have a pair of red-bellied woodpeckers, but I've not seen them yet this year.

  39. Great shots! We're not seeing any birds around here! Well, a few doves and Mexican Jays hiding in the woods, but they won't come to the feeder. Makes me sad!
