Finding inspiration for new photographs lately has been somewhat of a chore.
With the dry, warmer weather we've been experiencing here in eastern Nebraska, all that remains of Autumn are several large piles of leaves (that I need to get after today) and a handful of hardy flowers.
With that said, I stepped outside yesterday to capture a few macro images of these stubborn blooms.

ReplyDeleteLove the image and it's applied texture.. beautiful!
Nancy, are there any updates on Leontien? Soo hoping for a miracle.
Also, just wanted you to know that I can't reply to the lovely comments you leave, I get that no-reply thing. Maybe you need it that way, but just wanted you to know I'm not ignoring you and I appreciate the kind words, always.
I swear you can make even the boring colours or no colour look fantastic. Good job. B
ReplyDeleteWow - very cool! Never seen those before! Love the new header, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful image! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
ReplyDeleteI think it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteNice image and use of texture.
ReplyDeleteWe still have some color here but we don't get any pretty fall leaves.
I know what you mean about finding inspiration. I've been so busy that I haven't had nor taken the time to seek out any photographic lovelies let alone find inspiration from my bloggy friends. One day I'll have more time on my hands and things will get back to normal (whatever normal is, hahaha!).
So pretty, I just love the tones and texture!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with Foto Friday!
Lori
Our autumn colors are all but gone here too. I bought some pretty candy to photograph though. When the outdoors does not inspire my camera, I move indoors with it.
ReplyDeletepretty editing Nancy
ReplyDeleteThe temp is suppose to reach 71 today here & you can't see me, but I'm jumping up & down w/ joy! I love weather in the 70's, so this is bliss to me! =)
ReplyDeleteYour images are always beautiful & the texture fits perfectly! =)
Stubborn and persistence,
ReplyDeleteand both you and the flower get what you all aim for.
ohhhh pretty! score one for 'stubborn'.
ReplyDeleteTansy flowers are so pretty, I always dried them for potpourri. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
Beautiful photo! We have our work cut out for us in the next few months looking for color. But it's there if you look closely enough.
ReplyDeleteVery muted and dreamy - I like the effect.
ReplyDeleteI love it you have made a work of art.

Beautiful !!...enjoy a happy weekend...love Ria...xxx..
ReplyDeleteWhen I see images like this one of yours or one of Lisa Gordon's or yesterday's post of Gail's....I'm just plain envious! I can never get this kind of macro with such amazing detail. And to top it off, your application of your textures is wonderful. (BTW...thanks for the free textures! I'm going to look in my files to see if there's an image I can play with today.)
ReplyDeletelove the photo and the textures.
ReplyDeletethanks for the link to your texture website...I didn't know you had it...I guess I should have checked out the side bar. Anyway, I just downloaded all your beautiful textures...thank you so much for making them available. I love the red posies as your header ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your site again and that the warning signs are no more.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean a chore. There is plenty of inspiration all around you. Just take a look at all your bloggy friends... there's plenty there.
Perhaps you just need a little motivation. Does chocolate motivate you?
1. Make a list of things you want.
2. Make a list of things you need.
3. Make a list of things you can't live without.
If you want to share any thoughts, I'd be interested in hearing them.
Perhaps others would too.
Doesn´t look like a chore though, it looks beautiful! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the color of the bloom. Great shot! Around here there's a lot of leaves lying around as well but some things are still blooming, like my marigolds.
ReplyDeleteBlog for what a beautiful delicate, may occur in the I. I feel curiosity and fascination. .... I wish you a relaxing wonderful weekend! Luiserl ♥
ReplyDeleteI totally understand that! Now all I got is white to photograph! Back to indoor photos only for a few months. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHave a super weekend!

Another bloom I'm not familiar with. I like it a lot, especially with the added texture.
ReplyDeleteYou found a pretty little flower. I know what you mean though, there is not much color around here.
ReplyDeleteI saw something like that today too, but they grew close to the ground. Your photos are always stunning and I've learned living in a desert climate that there's beauty to be found where you least expect it.
ReplyDeletelast week a blizzard with snow drifts of 3 to 4 feet at my farm and 20 feet at my friend's place.
ReplyDeletetomorrow...60 degrees F.
go figure.
Your lovely edit makes even the plain look amazing!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the textures too, I have enjoyed playing around with them!
It's amazing to me what can be done with a photo on the camera. sandie
ReplyDeleteSuch a creative photo! lovely ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about finding subjects. I guess that's why I thought it was a good time to send my camera in for a cleaning. Lovely shot.

Lovely image.
ReplyDeleteI used to plant tansy with a little lavender at our old place. The colors were so beautiful together.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for a canvas-like texture! Thank you so much. It is a beautiful image, complimented even further by the texture.
ReplyDeleteOh Nancy, I think you found it!! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteLovely little flower, and it looks sturdy indeed.
