Love the vintage arch! Fabulous against the sky!
ReplyDeleteWondering if this is by itself in the field with no adjoining church.
When I see these 'family' cemeteries in a field or on a hill behind a home I can't help but think of how once those people might have lived or worked the land.
Is that a family plot? It sure seems small.
ReplyDeleteMorning all! I've linked up to my Simple Cookie Recipe which comes with flavour variations adn freezing tips!

ReplyDeleteGreat photo!!!! I love history and reading old tombstones i wonder what that person was like what family he or she had that kind of stuff. Have a wonderful day and weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the chances that we would both do cemeteries today?! Beautiful shots, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great arch. This cemetery reminds me of the one I pass on I-80 in the middle of Iowa - it, too is right in the middle of farmland.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought it said 'Tacoma' and then realized otherwise... (Tacoma is a large city in WA). Interesting how many rural cemeteries have this type of archway with the name in metal work... I walk old cemeteries, ever time I have a chance... thanks for hosting Nancy...
ReplyDeletelove your header... and poppies! :)
ReplyDeletethank you again for hosting!

Wow - what a record!
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful place of rest! i've got to get out to one of our local cemeteries and record the names for someone. the headstones are so worn that i'll have to rub them for info. it's quite small though, probably only about 10 - 20 graves.
ReplyDeleteNancy, Can you believe this city girl has a TRUE rural post this week? Yipee!! Your new blog header is precious.
