I've been meaning to make this go-to, busy-day recipe and today was the day.
Warm fried bread, beef and chile beans, melty cheddar cheese and fresh sour cream.
An inexpensive delicious Mexican meal the whole family will enjoy.

Homemade Tostadas
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
1 can chile beans in sauce
1/2 cup salsa (I used my homemade salsa)
2 cups Mexican Maseca Instant Corn Tortilla Masa Flour Mix
1 cup water (or more to achieve proper consistency)
Olive or corn oil
Tortilla Press (optional)
Toppings
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Sour Cream
Salsa
Directions
Brown and drain ground beef.
Add can of chile beans and salsa.
Simmer.
Mix tortilla mix with water until moist consistency is achieved.
Divide into equal golf-ball size portions.
Roll out 8" tortillas or use tortilla press.
Heat 1/2" olive or corn oil in hot skillet.
Fry each tortilla until slightly browned.
Top warm tortilla with ground beef mixture.
Top with cheese, sour cream and salsa.
You can freeze any leftover tortillas, placing a sheet of wax paper between each one.
