I believe this is the last unpublished barn photo taken
this summer.
The farmhouse is long gone from this particular farmstead.
Likely razed to make room for more crops.

On a side note,
we said goodbye to our little Dahli this weekend.
She had been suffering from kidney failure
for the past month and we both agreed
it was time to let her go.
You are now at peace, my sweet girl.

What a neat texture for that photo! So sorry about Dahli - it is so hard to let them go, but harder still to see them suffer. Thinking about you today, and sending hugs your way.

Nancy, my condolences about Dahli; it's always so difficult to know when to say good-bye. Just yesterday I was looking through my photos at beloved ones gone before...what bittersweet memories.

On a more positive note - now you have to search for more barns to photograph! A good problem to have :)
So sorry about Dahli! My son and DIL have 2 beagles and a cockerspaniel and they also foster dogs (yeah, it's like a kennel over there!). The cocker has really been ill lately but they have not made a decision. A hard decision but the best for all. Hugs to you and yours!
