The "almost" full moon photo I took a few nights ago was a bit boring by itself, so I added a texture from Picmonkey to dress it up.
: : :
And I know, I know... I changed my header again.
I didn't like the paisley one for some reason. So poof, be gone I say.
Trial by fire. It's how I roll.

Something new coming to Your Sunday Best -- I'd like to begin sharing the linky code with a different co-host each week. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, here are a few things to consider:
- You are familiar with how blog hops work and with using the Inlinkz html code;
- Your Sunday Best post will need to be ready to publish on Saturday morning of that week's hop at 8 a.m. (I'll provide the co-host with the code via email a few days beforehand;)
- You will have time to visit each participant and comment on their blog post before the hop has closed (usually three days;)
- You are not running another linky blog hop which begins on that particular Saturday you will be co-hosting.
First come, first served, in order of request received.
I'm looking forward to this little tweak to Your Sunday Best and hope you will consider joining me in hosting.
What's in it for you? Participants will be asked to follow the weekly co-host as a requisite to joining in on the hop. And, I'm sure you will consider following back as an act of bloggy courtesy (right?)
Only authors of family-friendly blogs need apply. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
Please note, due to an overwhelming response, all co-host spots have been filled through January, 2013. After that, my Inlinkz subscription runs out.
As I'm not sure what my plans will be for Your Sunday Best after that date, those will be the last co-host spot available. Thanks to everyone so far that has responded and I look forward to partnering with you.

Fantastic job on this...love it!
ReplyDeleteVery nice effect!
ReplyDeleteJust between you and me, you were right about the paisley. ;-)
I think I will reach out and take a bite out of that "moon cookie!".
ReplyDeleteHeader "change ups" from you are getting something I look forward to . . . Each one wonderful . . . (still my favorite a little bird, chickadee I think?)
Your choice of texture is nothing short of awesomeness. I like this header too.
ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting workup for a photo. It looks like a painting. I love the flower in your header. It looks very Scandinavian in its simplicity.
ReplyDeleteYou did a terrific job with this. I have minimal success with moon photos. I would need a complete blackout texture:-)
ReplyDeleteAn emerging moon.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I didn't know PicMonkey had backgrounds like that. I noticed they had extra functions but haven't played around with them yet. Have a great weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteYour 'blue moon' is absolutely gorgeous ...
ReplyDeleteLove your blue moon artwork/photo.
ReplyDeleteAlso love the new header :)
Change is good.

Lovely color in the moon... it was 'once in a blue...' last night and I winked at it to say goodbye to Neil Armstrong. I liked your paisley header... it must be really easy to swap out features on blogger... I have to create a whole new template to swap out mine. xo
ReplyDeleteLove the new header..and the processing on the moon photo.
ReplyDeletePicmonkey is pretty amazing - and a pretty amazing photo!
ReplyDeleteLove what you did to the moon! Never looked so good! Nice job, Nancy.
ReplyDeleteLove that edit! I agree - my photo of the almost full and then the full moon last night aren't wildly exciting...what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteNeat editing- I tried to get a good shot of this blue moon and ended up with a blurred spot on each photo. Acckkk! I like your header- tres cool.
ReplyDeleteThat moon background looks way better than my plain one. I need to send you mine, so you can make it nice! LOL!
ReplyDeleteguess the moon was a popular shot today ~ great photo ~ enjoy the weekend ~ (A Creative Harbor)
ReplyDeleteThat texture makes it really special!
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with your 'blue moon'. I haven't uploaded mine from the camera yet but I thought....oh, it is just going to be another round yellow spot on a field of black. Thanks for the inspiration!!! I do love the simplicity of your new header...very nice and 'rural'.
ReplyDeleteHa...now that's fun!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great weekend, Nancy.
I adore your new header...where does one go to find such a cute flower image?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for hosting.
xo bj
Beautiful light that shows this delicious moon, I love the textures in this photo.
ReplyDeleteI really like what you did with your moon shot. The moon does actually look 3D - more so that it usually does! The colours and textures you chose contrast beautifully with the smooth surface of the moon. And we have the same colours this week:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture of the moon and wonderful edit!
ReplyDeleteNice texture! It looks very fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing with you.
Excellent! Love to photograph the moon but this effect is fabulous!

this is an edit! And who said you weren't good at moon photos? Oh, that was you! You'll have to take that comment back!
ReplyDeleteReally like the colours you've used on your arty take of your photo.
ReplyDeleteI meant to ask you about the paisley header! ;-) I like your new choice. Your moon "painting" is wonderful! I used PicMonkey, too, for some slight texture on my shoe images.
ReplyDeleteLove your header...and your moon...and this idea...
ReplyDeletexoxo
BShell (I'll try to find a photo that fits)
I love the blue and the moon, very creative and well done. Have a great Labor Day weekend!
ReplyDeleteHEY - I was just here last night and you had a different header??
ReplyDeleteDear gawd, you header is completely nekkid! For the love of the photographers who come here to visit, cover it up!
ReplyDeleteAs for the moon and your edits, playing around is always fun, isn't it? You've created an interesting juxtaposition of colors and shapes.
love what you did to the moon :) have to try PicMonkey!! hope you're having a great weekend dear Nancy :) we took the weekend to be only on the new house. we've the whole month of September to pack the old house. our living room is so funny right now! we've got the tv and two beach chairs my mother bought on purpose. only my room came this time. the rest of the furniture is still on the old house. I'm so happy with this move :) xxo

ReplyDeleteI used to change my blog design all the time. Now I just switch the picture in my header a couple times a year.
Hugs from Ohio,
I.
I think I change my blog banner at least once a month. Maybe that's the downside of knowing how to use Photoshop:).
ReplyDeleteWow Nancy this is a great use of texture! I am never quite sure of how to use these heavy textures and you have shown me the way! Just love picmonkey need to get over there more often! Gorgeous moon!
