Balancing Act.

Shane and I took a ride into town Saturday morning. Blair's annual Gateway to the West celebration was in full swing and we thought it would be fun to take in some of the sights and activities.

Of course, there was a midway with the usual rickety rides and this young lady was in charge of one of them. With her hands otherwise occupied, she maneuvered over the steel safety fence with poise and grace -- her pink parasol no doubt providing some needed balance.

Two beers and two hours later, we moseyed home, but not until after I had taken 180 photos.

More to come...

  3. Beautiful picture you show. Know everything you need to take many pictures - sometimes takes me / us over 200 and maybe I spend only 10 of them. The weather here in Denmark at present. Rain + 13 degrees .... summer here has been on "standby" Wishing you a good Sunday. Hanne Bente

  20. Just read your comment about Angel. Please don't feel bad, you are so supportive of my blog, always have been. We can't possibly catch every single post. She died May 12th and next week it will be 13 years since she laid down on our doorstep and refused to leave. She never left my side....Well, you know how they are these German shepherd dogs. Thanks, Nancy.

  44. Your selective coloring is stunning!

I'm impressed that her one foot isn't even on the ground but the fence as well. She's good. :)

I'm always stunned when I go to download and see how many pics I've taken just walking around the yard.

  46. Love what you have done this Nancy! Also love the softness.

  47. That is a neat photo! Very clever! My normal photo shoot is 200+ photos...doesn't seem excessive to me! What does seem excessive is going through them and eliminating the ones not worth keeping...THAT is the job! I took over 500 at 2 different events this past weekend - I can't even THINK about that editing job!

  54. Can you give us a tutorial on how you processed this photo? Seriously. I have been wanting to do something like this with some photos of my girls and haven't figured it out yet. If you're not a tutorial gal, how about at least what program you used?
