I plead guilty.

I bought another orchid.

Our local grocery store had a display for Mother's Day and I couldn't resist.

There were so many different colors from which to choose, but I picked the yellow.

Now, I have an orchid in each of my kitchen windows, surrounded by some of my

favorite knick-knacks.

I mean, a girl's gotta have something to look at while she's washing the dishes, right?

I'm easily entertained.

  21. While a girl is looking at flowers, I need to think of something for me to look at while I am washing the dishes.

Yes, I always, and am happy to wash dishes, though I am a "boy".

  22. absolutely.

I've never brought home orchids because they look hard to "keep". Let me know what you find...

  30. I love the intimacy of this picture. The yellow is a beautiful color. I go by the orchids at the grocery store (especially when they have the blue ones) and just swoon. My husband shops with me and we're doing the coupon thing. He always says "sure, get one if you have a coupon." darn! One day one is going to have to sneak into the cart - and I'll pea the 5th.

  46. Hi Nancy, so true. Beautiful flowers in a kitchen windowsill helps to make the task much more joyful. I have flowers in my windowsill, but have never bought an Orchid. Always thought they would be difficult to stay alive. Enjoy and Happy Mothers Day!
    Now a new follower.
