A low front was moving in last evening and rain was expected overnight.
Not knowing how strong the storms would be, I thought it best to
take a few photos of the various bloomers in the yard before
the wind blew them into the next county.
Quite a departure for me, no editing was done on any of these images.
I know -- that's crazy-talk, but it's true.
I thought it would be nice for you to see them
exactly as I did.
Besides, I didn't feel like editing a ton of photographs this morning.
It happens.
Wishing you all a fabulous Friday.

ReplyDeleteWow - these are beautiful, Nancy! I LOVE the Colorado Blue Spruce (I'm kinda partial to the color green).
ReplyDeleteSometimes beauty doesn't need editing. Macro flowers are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely perfect! i know you love your textures, but you should show more of this unadulterated beauty now and again!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Nancy! What wonderful photo's....they don't look like they need any editing as you did a FINE job. I hope you got your rain...we could sure use it down here in Kansas. I'm getting tired of watering...we need a windmill! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteMaura :)

ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, well the pictures are just beautiful. How nice to live where you have so many beautiful flowers and trees around. I am a day late but I posted my Rural Thursday today. I had a doctors appt. yesterday and ran errands and just didn't get around to it. Also posted your link and blog pic on my blog too. Hope you have a blessed week-end. Love and Hugs!
ReplyDeletethese are spectacular! i really love that columbine. beautiful sooc work!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've seen any Lily of the Valley since I was a kid in Iowa. Sure do like them in macro!
ReplyDeleteDon't thing there are enough adjectives to describe how great these shots are.
ReplyDeleteLoved them.
I am going to have to take some lessons so my macros will look like this.
I love it when you go crazy and don't edit. These stand alone just beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWinds are up today ~ 40 mph. I just barely restaked the Scotch broom yesterday in hopes of seeing it bloom again this year. Send prayers. We're going to need them.
These are all breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteincredible photos. I so wish that I could take some like that. I think I'll join your followers so I can see more. joan

Just plain fabulous SOOC images, Nancy! What lens did you use to achieve this wonderful macro? (I keep researching before I purchase another lens!)
ReplyDeleteNot edited~I hope you're feeling okay. They are beautiful shots just the way they are. I especially love that first one!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Nancy, just the way they are!
ReplyDeleteHave a super weekend!
Tina xo
These are spectacular shots and the "natural" look works perfectly! We get lots of wind, too, but I think that's where the comparison ends. Blooming here: dandelions, dandelions, and more dandelions. My up close and personal experience with them yesterday consisted of attempts to wrest our faltering heather and mock orange from their grips. The camera will find them when I'm more able to forgive them.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is just fine to let mother nature handle the post processing. These are gorgeous - lily of the valley {sigh!}.
ReplyDeleteAwesome... love this beautiful serie.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! All is in bloom. I noticed driving around today that we have finally everything turning green. Looks great around here, too :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Nancy!
Great captures of "natural" beauty!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteSome days (most days)...
ReplyDeletegood enough is good enough.
Besides, these don't look SOOC.

ReplyDeleteAmazing photos. Each one is incredible.
ReplyDeleteWell, everyone else has said what I wanted to say! I could just be lazy and say "ditto", but I won't...I loved all the photos - even the poor, sad dandelion (whose seeds could happily be blown into the next county, thank you!), but the blue spruce was especially beautiful. We don't have them here, so it was different. Same for the Wild Yellow Prairie Rose - loved it! It is nice to be back visiting some blogs - I have been sorely missing them!
