|Black Locust Blooms|
No wind, no bugs, just quiet... with the exception of the familiar sound of an occasional bird off in the distance...
robins, cardinals, goldfinch, wild turkeys, pheasant, Canada geese, to name a few.
I must have taken at least 50 photos of what I saw, but the blossoms of the black locust tree
totally captured the essence of that evening. Have you ever smelled the fragrance? It's really something special. I do wish I could bottle it up and savor it after the petals are long gone. It's that good.
It was as if time had stopped. For me. To go where I pleased. To take it all in. In the still of that evening.
It was about the time I was really getting into myself that Buck decided to escape out the back door to find me. Sioux followed.
I was no longer alone in my thoughts.
Life was barreling towards me like 100-pound German Shepherd.
And that's no metaphor.
