| Nanking Cherry Blossoms. |
I've always wanted to experience the Spring cherry blossoms in Japan and in Washington, DC.
But that, my dear friends, is as likely as seeing pigs fly. At least, in person.
In my humble opinion, I believe they are just as special and inspiring and renewing
as those now blossoming in Tokyo
as well as those gracing the landscape at the well-known address of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Yes? No? Maybe?
Does geography matter?

Oh, and have you entered my Tropical Traditions giveaway?
There's still time.

Staying up later than most gives me an edge for these memes that post at midnight in other time zones. ;-) I do wish I could see and smell some cherry blossoms....see and smell some green grass...see and smell some warm sunshine!

I love the photos, especially the first one. And nope, geography doesn't matter - each place has its own beauty. Your Nebraska cherry blossoms are beautiful.
ReplyDeletereally gorgeous! i'd rather have them at home than in some exotic or citified travel destination. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful image, I love those trees!
ReplyDeleteYours are just as beautiful and I'm sure they smell just as good.
ReplyDeleteI could get lost staring into those cherry blossoms!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cherry blossoms.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
NO...geography doesn't matter one bit! Simply beautiful...a beautiful sight for me that's brightening my day on another cold, spittin' snow mornin'.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Rural Thursday!!
Wow! So beautiful. Geography definitely doesn't matter. Enjoy the buds.
ReplyDeleteSigh! really beautiful. I wish I could see cherry blossoms too. The address doesn't matter at all :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty pictures.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the DC blossoms nor the Tokyo ones but I'd really rather have them close to home. That way, you can spend hours and hours enjoying them as opposed to passing through as a tourist. Consider yourself luckier...much luckier..than most to have this beauty around you. Love the photos!
ReplyDeleteI think yours are just as beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous. But what made me think you lived in NC?
ReplyDeleteAhhh... Cherry blossom trees are my favorite! My imaginary dream house has a lonnnng driveway lined w/ cherry blossom trees on both sides. Sigh....! Nancy, these shots are A-mazing. Geography... doesn't make a difference in my mind. Happy Thursday lady!!
ReplyDeleteI grew up and spent most of my life in Washington DC. The cherry blossoms are all over the entire city everywhere, public and private, not just at the Tidal Basin, and it is simply gorgeous to be there in the spring. Then come the flowering pears, lilacs and the redbuds, followed by many species of magnolias. All the many, many flowering trees is the one thing I miss most about DC.
ReplyDeleteWhere I live now near the desert, cherry blossoms cannot grow, so seeing photos of yours is very nice.
I just found your hop, and posted my DIY toothpaste recipe. Thanks for hosting!
Yes, those cherry blossoms are really a wonder and no matter where we are, these cherry trees came from Tokyo anyway. :D feels like the same.
ReplyDeleteThe Cherry Blossoms are so lovely. I think I share Evelyn's comment about wanting to see sunshine...thanks for sharing a bit of yours.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful blossoms! And...nope geography doesn't matter. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Pres and I just got home and I swear, we were just talking about Cherry Blossoms! Lucky YOU!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty! I too have always wanted to see them in person- I will have to just be happy with my plum blossoms in my yard for now. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. And I bet they smell wonderful.
ReplyDeletewow, what gorgeous flowers. i love this time of the year. so very pretty. (:
ReplyDeleteThey got nothin' on your cherry blossoms girl! I especially LOVE the second picture, makes me want to walk underneath the branches and linger for awhile! :)
ReplyDeleteLove those pictures...blossoms are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous. You captured them so well!
ReplyDeletestunning!
ReplyDeleteYou captured pure beauty - and you did it so beautifully, lol. WOW! These are amazing. My favorite time of the year!
ReplyDeletePlease stop by my blog sometime!
xoxo, bree
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the NE blossoms are a little more pretty than the others...but I may be a little biased.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the cherry blossoms in Japan and I think that yours are just as stunning! :) During my 2 week trip, I may have taken close to 2000 photos that contained mostly cherry blossoms. Obsessed much?? :)
ReplyDeleteoh my word, so beautiful!!! Thank you so much for sharing on the Thursday hop. Sorry it's taken me a little while to get over here. Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteCherry blossoms always gave me spring fever when I was young and waiting for school to get out...I loved school, but oh, you brought back the moment, Nancy!
