ReplyDeleteOh Nancy you never cease to amaze me with your creativity. This is a great idea. Alas I have already posted. I will try to get in on this next week.I am doing a farming piece tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI love that you always take the most ordinary farm item or any item for that matter and turn it into a true work of photo art.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous picture! Good luck on your blog hop! Too bad I live in a city now and not in rural NJ!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun and informative meme. I live in a very small town, so consider myself rural. There are only 2 houses between me and fields, plus I grew up on a farm, so love all things rural. I can't participate this week, but maybe soon.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like fun event Nancy. Your pic is intruiging as always.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day:)
There is something grandly nostalgic about an old iron gate on a farm. Love it!

ReplyDeleteOh my, I just finished working my way through all the blogs. What great fun you've provided. Thanks so much for doing this.
ReplyDeleteIf all goes well, I should start in the very near future an endeavor on natural farming here at Panglao Island, Bohol in the Philippines; thus, I'll be able to make regular contributions to the group of whatever insight I gain from such.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my site.
Love the perspective in that photo.
ReplyDeleteAnd now you make me wish I had a homestead... ;)
I'm late, Nancy...but I was gone all day. A husband-chauffeured photo drive made it possible for me to take part in Rural Thursday. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove the artistic shot!!
ReplyDeleteI'll be putting this on my list of new memes. :)
A beautiful, subtle photograph. I love the colour, the texture and the contrast between the clarity of the gate and the softness of the green grass.

Nice showing for your first hop! I hope to join in the fun when things at work slow down to a dull roar.
ReplyDeleteBack with Friday's Fences... I took a similar photo on my little drive yesterday: my gate(s) are green. I truly need to work on a macro shot, though.
ReplyDeletegreat fence and gate photo for Friday Fences. I'll see about participating in your Rural Thursday blog hop next week.
ReplyDeleteI like your fence photo (very rustic) and hope to pop by the other enteries. We "city" folk get our dose of country the easy way...viewing your photos!
ReplyDeleteGood turnout! If my mother wasn't in the hospital, I'd make the rounds to visit; maybe next time. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting!! Rural living and agriculture are so important!
ReplyDeleteLove the depth of field in your photo as well as the color tones...nice!
Apparently I have committed a grave mistake by linking several posts to Rural Thursday, although I didn't notice any cautionary notes about linking only once. (The warning may be there; I'm just unable to see it.) I apologize to all participants who feel overwhelmed by my multiple links, and ask the blog hosts to please remove all my links but one--or all of them, if they prefer. After all, it's their blog! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteSo sad I missed this! I'll link up next time for sure :D Posts about my horse count, right?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting this fellow join!
ReplyDeleteReally great pic of the old gate!
