Your Sunday Best: Week 11

Silence Texture by KKlaussen
Elizabeth Texture by Life-n-Reflection

When I was in my mid-30's, I worked part-time at an antiques mall. The best part of the gig -- being one of the first to spot (and buy) a great deal before anyone else had the chance.

Ceramic dog and cat dust collecters figurines, made in pre-war Japan, were abundant and inexpensive, back in those days and I was always on the look-out for a bargain.

I also appreciated any featuring the familiar gold Enesco label, a company founded in 1958, specializing in imported giftware.  The dog in the above photograph was one such find. It stands about 7 inches tall and is one of my largest and most treasured pieces.

Nancy, you have that lovely fellow displayed so nicely! When I 'grow up' and have time, I want to do more of browing and searching in antique stores because I really love doing it~ I guess it's something to look forward to, yes?

I love your "aged" photo, Nancy! I really like those old jugs...I bought a "vase-type" one at an antique mall recently. It has a flat back, which I found interesting.
